  • UNIFORM ORDERS & FAQ | windham-academy

Uniform Orders & FAQs Show your school spirit with our Windham Academy Uniforms. In order to foster community, academic focus, and commitment to the learning environment, Windham Academy has adopted uniforms. We’re proud of our students, and we hope you’ll be proud to attend Windham Academy. Uniforms shall be required at Windham Academy, and all students must come to school in uniform every day. Approved uniforms are available from 2 sources: Land's End & Squadlocker. Land's End will have a wider variety of choices, but sometimes has longer turn-around times. Squadlocker will have faster shipping times and a more limited offering. You are free to order from either (or both!). Shop Now - Land's End Shop Now - Squadlocker Hint: Sign up for Lands' End's email list to receive info on promotions. Uniform FAQs What are the basic guidelines for uniforms for Windham Academy? Every student wears a top purchased from an approved vendor with the Windham Academy logo. There are many options including t-shirts, polos, vests, sweaters, sweatshirts, and jumpers. Tops need to be WA approved colors: white, black, burgundy, or gray. Bottoms can be purchased from anywhere (including Land’s End) in the colors of black, tan/khaki, burgundy (a deep reddish brown color), or gray. Skirts, skorts, leggings, jeans, jumpers, dresses, cargo pants, and chinos are all available options keeping in mind the color limitations. Clothing should not be ripped or include distracting brands/characters. Students can wear any safe and appropriate footwear for daily activities. How can I purchase a shirt with the Windham Academy logo on it? To purchase a top online, visit one of the links above. For Lands End : click on the tab labeled “school.” Then, click on “find your school” and enter Windham Academy’s school number: 900190497 . All tops and colors that are shown under that school number, are approved for use in the school. Another option is to visit the nearest Land’s End retail store at 75 Middlesex Turnpike Suite 1002, Burlington, MA 01803. The Squadlocker link goes directly to our school stores. Please note that the "Spirit-wear" shop includes made-to-order items and may not fall under the same return policy as normal uniform items. If I purchased a Windham Academy shirt in the school year of 2018/2019 from EmbroidMe, can a student still wear those in school? Yes, if you purchased a top before the Windham Academy Spirit Wear policy was in place, that logo top is allowed in school as long as it burgundy, gray, white, or black. The Land’s End website shows bottoms for purchase, am I required to purchase bottoms from Land’s End? No, bottoms are not limited to Land’s End and can be purchased from anywhere. Bottoms need to be black, gray, tan, or burgundy. Keep in mind, inexpensive pants from some retailers may not last like uniform pants. My skirt that was ordered from Land’s End is too long for my child, where can I get it hemmed and what is the appropriate length? Land’s End will cuff or hem pants/skirts/dresses free of charge. Visit Land’s End customer service for help. At this time, Windham Academy does not specify a specific length. Please use your best judgement. What if I order a top from Land’s End that is too large or too small? Land’s End offers free returns or exchanges. Call customer service on your receipt for help. When layering my child’s clothing, does every top need a logo on it? No, only one article of clothing needs to have a Windham Academy logo on it. It is preferred that the outermost layer has it, but this is not strictly enforced. However, outer layers worn over a logo top during class must be uniform colors. What happens if a student comes to school without the appropriate dress code? The school will have limited shirts available for a student to borrow. These can be washed and returned to the school. If my family can not afford to buy uniforms, is there financial assistance available? Yes, information on financial assistance is on the Uniform Policy Page . Will there be opportunities to swap used shirts/dresses? One of our parents set up a Facebook page to swap uniforms. Visit the page here Windham Academy Uniform Re-Sale . Ordering FAQs Purchasing over the phone? Call 1-800-469-2222 and reference your student’s Preferred School Number 900190497, grade level, and gender. Lands' End consultants are available 24/7 for assistance. Purchasing online? 1.
